City Accelerates E-ID Card Recording

The city administration continues to speed up the recording of e-ID card. It is targeted will be complete in February 2017.

Jakarta Acting Jakarta, Sumarsono disclosed there are some difficulties in implementing e-ID card recording. One of them is blank stock from Home Ministry.

"I'll ensure all will be complete before February. Before voting, citizens have been recorded," he stressed, at City Hall, Wednesday (11/2).

E-ID Card Processing in Urban Village Opens Until Saturday

If it is not achieved, there will be statement letter from Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept. The letter could be used as citizen identity to use their voting right.

"The important first is all must enter into potential voter list (DP4) first. If the blank is unavailable, it is because of readiness of Home Ministry. Minimally, Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept gives a statement letter that is valid," he stated.

As known, on February 15, voting will be held for 2017 Pilkada. The concurrent elections has entered campaign period.
